Common Campaign Coalition

Who We Are and What We Want for Ontario

Hamilton’s COMMON CAMPAIGN COALITION is a gathering of like-minded individuals working to ensure that poverty elimination is a key priority for all Ontario residents, candidates and incumbents during the 2011 provincial election.

Recognizing that Poverty Reduction work crosses over all parts of society, the coalition is composed of participants committed to ensuring provincial support for the creation of good jobs in Ontario with adequate pay.

The COMMON CAMPAIGN COALITION calls for those seeking election in the 2011 provincial campaign to make poverty elimination a priority by putting resources into the following actions:

  • Increase Minimum Wage
  • Improve Housing
  • Improve Adequacy in Social Assistance
Our campaign is developed around these three specific areas of improvement which we believe are integral to reducing poverty and are therefore, important to all Ontarians.
